*DECREASE IN WELLINGTON DISTRICT. By Telegraph.—-Press Association. 1 Wellington, Last Night. There has been a general decline in the number of eases of infectious disease reported in the Wellington health district during the past week. The position haa improved to such an extent that the Health Department have decided to allow schools to re-open to-naonw after the. term holidays. A number of chicken-pox eases are re* ported from various parts of the district, but the outbreak is not serious, This disease wa>s made notifiable 011 account of the outbreak of small-pox in Invereargill.
