SPACE ON THE MAMARI.

In regard to the efforts that are being made to initiate the direct shipment of imports from England to New Plymouth, Mr. Newton King, who agreed, at the meeting of importers held last we<>k, to ascertain what amount of apace would be available for local orders the Mamari, lias received cabled advice from the S.S. and A. Co. to the effect that they could accept 500 tons over general cargo, from Middlesborough only, to the port of New Plymouth per the Mamari.
