GOLF.
NEW PLYMOUTH V. HAWERA. The annual' fixture between teams representing the New Plymouth and Hiwera Clubs will be played .at iv'ew Plymouth on Thursday. The course at Waiwakaiho Is now in splendid condition, and if the fine weather continues an enjoyable day's golf Is promised The teams will each consist of nineteen players, and matches will be played In the morning and afternoon. Subject to alteration of order, the teams will be as follows. Any New Plymouth member not able to play will please notify the secretary as soon as possibleßutcher T. H. S. Elliott; Johns v. INGLEWOOD CLUB. The Inglewood Golf Club opened the season on Thursday last, when a mixed foursome flag competition was played for a trophy presented by Jlr. ,T. R Sutherland, president of the Club. Mrs. Surrcv and C. R. O'Carroll being the winners. * The season promises to be very successful, as keen Interest is being taken', and nine new members have already joined (says tho Record),
