The above teams met at \V<stern Park on Saturday in what proved to lie a very onesided £j;me. The want of combination and initiative on their part was in strong contrast to that of the Tukapa players who are now settling down to somo fine combination work, and who are quick to see and take advantage of an opening or a weak spot in the defence of their opponents. Throughout Saturday's match the blues for the most, part played in a solid pock and the vellows were scarcely ;>bie to break throußh their front rank. This match was played In the Lepperton township instead of at Waitara, the new departure being welcomed bv the Lepperton residents, who attended in full force to witness the play, and at its conclusion the Lepperton ladies entertained both teams to afternoon tea. Tile match Itself proved very close and interesting, Lopnei-ton - winning by the narrow margin of C points to r. In Hie first spell Jones and Thomas for Lepperton scored tries, and in the second spell Sheirln scored for Okato. C. Putt converting. Mr. E. Clare proved a capable referee.
