RECORD REVENUE FIGURES. In Thursday's Gazette wag published the stateaent of the receipt! aact expenditure of the Consolidated Fund for the quarter ending March 31, 1920. The statement shows that the receipts for the quarter totalled £11,715,415, while the expenditure amounted to £6,951,15! —art eicess of revenue over expenditure of €4.704,229. For the first nine months of the flnalKial year the receipts totalled £'14,383,585, thus making the receipts for the year £26,061,010, whereas the expenditure for the sine months was £16,830,339, making the year's expenditure total £23,781,525. Therefore the •titylns for the year 1919-20 amounts to £2299,485.

The surplus for the year ending March 31, 1919, was £3,878,773, which brought up the accumulated surpluses Wanking from Sir Joseph Ward's war period finance to £15£39,561.
