The success that attended the first boxing tournament held in New Plymouth for a number of years has evidently whetted the appetites of the North Taranaki boxing fans, as already numerous Inquiries have been made as to the date on which the Association is matching Thompson and Brown, the winner of the professional bout each evening. This bout should be worth going a long way to see, as both men are clean fighters and possess considerable skill. Clifton, of Waitara, Is to be congratulated on lils performance in the heavyweight competition. Ho gave away a lot. of weight each night, and on the second night, when he boxed a draw with King, was fighting with a damaged right wist, which he strained in his contest the previous night.
