t MR. BOOKER'S SALE. 1 Despite unfavorable weather, there was a very large attendance from all parts of Taranakl at the clearing sale which was conducted by the Taranakl Farmers' Co-operative Organisation Society at Mr. B. Booker's property, Lowgarth, yesterday. As Mr. Booker is retiring from farming lo take up his residence in New Plymouth, the auctioneers, Messrs. Hobbs and Trotter, had a very lengthy catalogue, comprising besides tne stock, ail the sundries of a well equipped farm, as well as household furniture. The principal interest was manifested In tho pedigree cattle, Mr. Booker having of late years gone In extensively for pedlgAe Jerseys, and some nice cattlo were submitted. Ltd, Palmerston North, report having held an unreserved disperse! sale of pedigree Frieslan cattlo on account of Mr. F W Koberstcin at his homestead between Palmerston North and Feildlng on Tuesday, May 25, 1920. Although there was not. a very large attendance, buyers and their representatives were present from Blenheim, Southland, Wellington, Taniatua. Mutnrca, HuntfrvJlle, Whakatane, Mangamaire. .Manalcau, Te Horn, Palmerston North and surrounding districts. There was a good competition up to a certain point for all animals showing high and close supporting milic records, but Individuals which relied solely on pedigree did not meet with a very r&idy sale.
