MINISTER OF EDUCATION.

A VISIT TO TARANAKI. (From Our Special Reporter.) Hawera, Last Night. The Minister of Education arrived at Hawera by the mail train to-night. He was met at the station by Mr. E. Dixon (Mayor of Hawera), and Mr. W. D. Powdreli, M.P.for Patea. In the evening the Minister met deputations. The Minister visits Eltham and Stratford to-morrow, receiving deputations.at both towns. In the afternoon Mr. Panwill proceed to New Plymouth. On arrival at New Plymouth the Minister will visit the Boys' High School and the Girls' High School, after which he will receive a deputation from .the, High School Board. On Thursday morning the primary schools will be visited from ft a.m. to ! p.m., and in the afternoon the Minister will visit Waitara. In the evening the Minister will hold a conference with the Education Board, returning to Wellington on Friday morning.
