Masters at the recent by-election At supper time Mr. P. G. Harkness, who presided, referred eulogisticallv to Mr Masters' services, and as a 'token of their admiration of the manner in which he had fought the election, presented him with a case of pipes. Mrs Schumacher, on behalf of the ladies presented Mrs. Masters with a silver dinner gong: Mr. Masters replied, thanking all for their kind expression of appreciation, and also for the splendid manner in which Midhirst had supported him at both elections.
