TARANAKI ASSOCIATION. NEXT WEEK'S TOURNAMENT. A committee meeting of the Taranaki Boxing Association was held in the Soldiers' Club last night, Mr. E. Whittle presiding over a good attendance of memhers. The secretary stated that several entries had a.lready been received for the amateur events, nominations for which close to-morrow evening with the secretary, Mr. E. Clarke. The membership list also shows a gratifying Increase, and it was decided that members must be financial by Friday next In order to secure the privileges of their membership at the tournament. Final arrangements were made for the holding of the tournament, a vote of thanks being accorded Messrs, Boon Bros, for their generous offer to lend the timber necessary to prepare the Officials for the tournament were appointed as follows: Stage ma angers, Messrs. E. Jackson and G. H. Saunders; official announcer, Mr. S. Gv Smith, M.P.; official seconds, Messrs. W. Richards, IV. Whkafcer, T. P. Smith, and E. H. Fielding; timekeepers, Messrs. J. Bennett, E. Whittle; glove steward, Mr. Gallagher; call and weight stewards, Messrs. T. N. Rolston and Ron Paul. Keen Interest is being manifested in the professional contests, a number of enthusiasts Attending each evening to watch same of the j principals at work. J
