(From Our Own Correspondent.) The Waitara School Committee lield its monthly meeting on Monday Mr, T. R. Ford (chairman) presiding- The headmaster reported that the school had been having a bad run owing to changes of teachers and the prevalence of sickness, he himself having had to have a month oft on account of sickness. Mr. Hg.ll, who replaces Mr. Butler, assistant head teacher, had commenced his duties, and tilings should soon seLtle down to normal again. The attendance had been poor, and unless an improvement were made the retention of the staff would be in danger, as 281 was the minimum to retain the present staff.
