INTELLIGENCE OF MODERN MAN.
(To the Editor.) Sir, —Mr, Fltzherbert has endeavoured to show that man is more Intelligent to-day than formerly. Well, it is a great pity that if It is not so. Take, for Instance, our present high society What is it? A terrible mixup of all kinds of people. Yes, indeed,. "people of the pleased to meet you style," "people of the my husband type," "people of the gentleman crowd," "people of the swing partner class," and so-called men who walk with ladies with hands in their pockets, or smoking pipes and cigarettes. What an eye sore I This could go on ad lib. Of course there are some genuine society people. Oh I turn bad; the world to the good old days of intelligence, etiquette, and honor.r-I am, RESERVED.
