INFLUENZA IN AUCKLAND.
SCHOOLS TO REMAIN CLOSED. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. There ware 110 m ; ikl and ten severe influenza cases reported for the 24 hours ended at noon yesterday, and from then till mid-day to-day the number shows an inerease, being 132 mild and 9 severe over the whole of the Auckland health district.
As a result of the high totals being recorded almost every day, the Auckland Health Ofiice has advised the Education Board that all schools had better remain closed, excepting in the districts of Cort>mandel and Mercury Bay, where the ailment has not shown signs of spreading. Accordingly schools in these two places will re-open on Monday, but all others in the Auckland Health District will remain closed indefinitely.
