TERRORISING FARMERS. .< . CATTLE RAIDS RIFE. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyrljht. Received May 10, 10.30 p.m. London, May 10. Cattle driving in the west of Ireland is rife. The roads are covered with wandering stock, and warning notices are posted, deterring the public from assisting farmers to collect their stock. Raids continue hourly, armed bands motoring over tho country, compelling farmers to give up their farms, or driving off the stock.—United Service, HUNGER STRIKER'S DEATH. Cable Assn. DETECTIVE SHOT. London, May 9. An unknown man shot with a revolver Detective Sergeant Revell while cycling in a Dublin suburb. Revell is in a serious condition. Detective Revell wore steel under his waistcoat, but his assailant wounded him in the arm, leg and neck. HUNGER STRIKERS RELEASED. London, May 9. Twenty-two more Sinn Fein h lingerstrikers have been released from Belfast Goal, 13 from Cork Prison, and 42 from Wormwood Scrubbs, The latter have been without food for 14 to 18 daysBATTLE AT A BARRACKS. London, May 9. Two hundred men armed with rifles, 6hot-guns and bombs attacked the police barracks at Cloyne. A sergeant and five constables repelled the attack, despite the bombs partially demolishing the building. Eventually the barracks were set on fire. The garrison took refuge in adjoining houses, which were also set on fire. One constable was seriously injured and it is believed one raider was killed.
