MORE WORK ESSENTIAL.
PERIL PACING AUSTRALIA. WARNING TO "GO SLOW" AGITATORS. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copy?ljbt Received May 0, 6.5 p.m. Melbourne, May 9. There are indications of a >reak-a\vay amongst building employees in connection with no Saturday work. On several jobs men, including unionists, worked yesterday. Sydney, May 0. .Mr. Storey, addressing a meeting of workers, and referring to the enormous debt the country had to face,' gave a jarring hint to the forty-hour week agitators. He said we must not be afraid of work, and where one man worked before, four must work now, for the position was most difficult. If we were not careful during the next year or two we would be glad to have work to do, which Would occupy our time for thirty hours weekly.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
