LOSS OF KIEFF ADMITTED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received May 9, 5.5 p.m. London, May 8. The Bolsheviks continue to admit the loss of Kiel!.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn. Geneva, May 8. The Ukrainian Press Bureau states the Polish forces have cut the railway forty kilometres from Kieff, threatening the Red Army's line of retreat. ,Moscow, May 8. A Bolshevik communique states the troops engaged superior enemy forces on the night of the Oth to the north-west and south-west of Kieff. The enemy broke into the outskirts,of the town, but count-ter-attacks held them up. Later, iu accordance with instructions, the Bolsheviks withdrew order to the left bank of the Dnieper.—Aus.-N.Z.
