BURNSIDE STOCK SALE. Dunedin, May 5. There wero again fair yarding in all fat stock departments at Burnside to-day. The quality of the sheep offered was very' disappointing. prime sheep being very scarce, wethers particuall.v so, and prices for this class reached a high level in consequence. There was keen competition for prime lambs and prime fat. cattle. Sheep—A good yarding, numbering SlOfi head The yarding was comprised mostly of medium to inferior sheep, very few prime sheep being sent forward. Good wethers and , ewes were eagerly competed for at prices a| shade firmer, whllo secondary and inferior! classes were slightly weaker than late ruling! rates. Extra prlmo heavy-weight wethers made from 52s 3d to fids, prime 44s Gd to 51s, medium 3ns to 435, lighter kinds from 37s 3d upwards. Extra prime heavy-weight ewes made from nis 3d tn 56s fid, prime 41s to 48s. medium 33s to 395, light and aged from 24s upwards. • Fat Lambs. —A fair yarding of fair quality. a total of 810 head being yarded for sale. Competition was keen, and the price® realised were from Is to is Gd per head above last week's rates. Prices ranged from 20s 3d to 35s per head. Pat. Cattle—A largo yarding of fair quality numbering 200 head. Competition at. tho commencement. of the sale was brisk, and prices obtained wero well up to last week's rates. These comprised mostly baeonerl Competition was good, and prices obtained were equal to those of recent sales. Best baconers brought from JOd to lid per lb, and best porkers from lOV&tf to ll%a per lb.

INGLEWOOD SALE.
