TURKEY.

OPPOSITION TO TREATY.

CONCESSIONS TO. GREECE. By Telegraph.—Press Asan,—Copyright, Received May 7, 5.5 p.m. Paris, May 0. The Turkish peace delegation has arrived at Versailles. It consists of Tewfik Pasha (president), liesehid Bey, Paheddin Bey, Djemal Pasha, and General Mailmud Mouktar. It is expected Tewfik Pasha, who ;s head of the delegation, will nuke a strong protest against the carving up of Turkey, especially the territorial concessions to Greece, It is highly probable he will refuse to sign the Treaty, which is said to ha largely the work of M. Venizelos (Premier of Greece). It has also created a violent campaign in Italy against Signer Nitti (the Italian Premier). Italians feel the San Remo meeting has made Greece a formidable rival in the Eastern Mediterranean.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
