The Government again indicates that there will be no chango: in the present administration of Ireland and no relaxation of the present efforts to protect life and property. In Ulster the Unionist Council is calling a special meeting at an early date to consider the recent requisition for reconsideration of the six counties' decision. Eiglity-cight members of the House of Representatives signed a cablegram addressed to Mr. Lloyd George protesting against the further imprisonment without arraignment or trial of persons resident in Ireland arrested for acts of a political nature. —Aus.-NZ. The leader threatened him with a revolver, and Sir Arthur told him to shoot. He agreed to show them the strong room, but refused the key. fie was then placed under guard While -the invaders attacked the strong crowbars and pickaxes, 'but without success. The Dublin City Council adopted a resolution recognising Sinn Fein as the duly elected Irish Government, and undertaking to eary out the Sinn Fein Parliament's decrees. Copies of the resolutions have been sent to President Wilson.
