Fejlding, May 5Very large brick stables and storeroom'at Parorangl,. near Feilding, the residence of Mr. Krnes't Short, were totally destroyed by fire last night. Five horses in the stable Were rescued, but all the stocks of hay and grass i-eed, in addition to a large engine and dynamo, were destroyed: The total loss was something like £15,000, The insurances were about £3OOO, CARGO BROACHING. Wellington, May 5. A water-;ider, named Joseph Henry Beck, was sentenced at the Police Court to-day to six moii',lis' imprisonment on a charge of stealing articles from the ear;;o of vessels in port.
