BRITISH POLITICS.

BREACH IN LIBERAL RANKS. By Telejp-aph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received May 2, 11 p.m. London, May 1. There was an interesting meeting of the Scottish Liberal Federation, at which the annual report made a vigorous _ justification of Mr. Asquith's Liberalism, and implied criticism of the action of Mr. Lloyd George and the Coalition Ministers, includng Mr. Churchill, who had an unfriendly reception. Other Ministers present spoke, defending the Government's action, but the report was carried by a large majority. The meeting marks a further break between the wings of the Liberal Party.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable As3n.
