The Rarawa arrived from Onehunga on Saturday morning with a laTge number of passengers She also brought a quantity of cargo which was handled in a similar way to hat on the previous trip, the merchants send tag lorries to the boat side and tho goods being norted and distributed at the railway goods shed. The vessel sailed again f6r Onehunga at 7 p.m. and is expected here again to-imorrow morning. THE CORINNA. The Corlnna is expected about Tuesday with general cargo from South Island ports. THE WAIMEA. . The steamer Waimea (Anchor Company) Is expected to load at Greymouth to-day for few Plymouth and should arrive here about Wednesday with approximately 400 tons of coal part for New Plymouth, and part for Borthwick and Sons, Ltd., Waitara. REMUERA AT AUCKLAND. _ „ Auckland, May 1. The Remuera arrived this morning with a «mall draft of returned soldiers. The voyage was devoid of Incident. F. Wheelwright, steward on tho Remuera, was arrested and charged with assaulting the second steward by cutting him on the head and neck. The affair arose over a disputo regarding work. The injuries have since healod. j Forty-two adults and 17 children arrivedj by the steamer under the scheme of nominated! Immigrants, also 27 adults and 21 children! under the overseas settlement scheme. THE INGA IN TROUBLE. _. , . Wellington. May 1. The steamer Inga, owned by R. S. Lamb and Co., Sydney, which left Newcastle for Wanganui on April 23, struck some obstacle when about 50 miles off Wanganul at 3.30 am yesterday. She was found to be leaking, Captain Bull headed for Wellington, arriving here this morning. The oitent nf the damago is not yet known. The vessel has 1000 tons of coal for Wangamii gas works and is also carrying 100 tors of hardwood. WELLINGTON-9AN FRANCISCO.
