THE SUBMARINE CAMPAIGN.
i ■ j MURDER OF BRITISH CAPTAIN. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. London, April 27. } The Probate Court presumed the ' death of Captain Owen, commander of the steamer Windsor Hall, which was . torpedoed in the Mediterranean in 1918. When the crew took to the boats the > submarine demanded the captain and took Owen prisoner, who had not been heard of since. Inquiries in Berlin and • Vienna led to replies that there was no - record of the torpedoing. Counsel remarked that there was not t likely to be any record if Captain Owen , had been taken on board and disposed of. The Judge: The submission then is that Captain Owen was murdered. Counsel: It cannot be doubted.
