The secretary of the Stratford Hospital Board lias received a donation of five guineas towards the X-ray fund, from the Midhirst Sports Club. Mr. Chas. p. Fox has arranged a I dance to bo held in the Town Hall, Stratford, on Friday evening, in honor of the visit of the Prince of Wales. Dancing will be commenced at 8 p.m., and keep going till 2 a.m. the following morning, and a specially augmented orchestra will provide the musical accompaniment. The I weekly assembly will not be held on Thursday night. The Stratford Retailers' Association has decided to observe the usual halfholiday on Thursday, and to keep open on Friday morning until 11 o'clock. % Now is the time for motorists to pre- • pare for oomfortaible and cosy travelling during the winter months, by having the hoods of their cars seen to.
