In the course of his report to the Eltham Borough Council last woelc, the pas manager (Mr. W- S. Hoves) mentioned that some ironwork for tiic new retorts had been delayed at Patea for' over three months. These delays have been the, subject, of previous complaints to the Railway Department, and it was generally believed that the difficulty had been remedied, but it would appear that the reverse is the ease in some instances, and that the trouble has only been aggravated.—Argus.
