He was asked concerning the rumors tjiat he had been recalled, and he declared that he had not received any recall from Australia, and would continue the voyage to London on April 24 to take up his duties He said he could not understand why he should lie recalled, but he refused to make a statement concerning his position.— Aus.-N.Z. Cable Awn. London, April 24. The statement cabled from Sydney that Mr, Coghlan has been appointed acting-Agent-Gciieral is inaccurate. The Government has re-nnnointed Mr. Whvte to act.—Aus.N.Z.
