CONFERENCE OF CHEMISTS. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Napier, April 23. The annual conference of the New Zealand Pharmaceutical Society resolved that where an all-night pharmacy is established the law be so amended that pharmacies shall close on Sundays and statutory holidays; that disputes be referred to and argued before a pharmaceutical control guild, and also that scales of minimum wages and industrial terms be formed and decided for the whole society without territorial distinction. TRAMWAYS DISPUTE. Wellington, April 23. The Tramway Union rejected the final oifer of the City Council, which made the minimum Is fid an hour and the maximum Is lid. The present rates are Is 5d and Is 7Jd. The union is firm for Is lid and 2s 3d. The Mayor has agreed to meet the executive at a further conference on Monday morning.
