TALLOW SALES POSTPONED. By Telegraph.—Press Assn.—Copyright. Received April 22, 5.5 pm. London, April 21. Owing to the poor demand, the tallow sales were not held.—Aus.-N..Z. Cable Assn. LOAN AND MERCANTILE REPORT. The N.Z. Loan and Mercantile Agency Co., Ltd., report as follows: At our Stratford sale on the 13th Inst., we had a full yarding of stock,, but bidding was, in most cases, below vendors' reserves, and I.e. heifers were considerably easier than In previous sales. Wo quote stock sold as follows : Lambs lis 2d to l. r >s, f.m. ewes 18s, Romney rams 30s, cows and calves £6 7s to £3 10s, empty cows £7 10s to £8 17s Od, I.e. heifers £7 3s 6d to £S.

At our Te Wera sale on the 16th April, we had a small yarding, but all stock sold well, realising'tho following prices: Six-tooth and f.f.m. ewes 21s Cd, 2, 4 and 6-tootii ewes 325, rams £2, lambs 16s 3d, 2%-year Jersey steers £5 7s 6d, 20-month empty heifers £5 92 6d.

Private sales—At private sales we realised the following prices: Two-tnoth wethers 28s Od 4 and 0-tootli wethers 29s to 335, woolly lambs 22s (id, shorn lambs 13s 9d, dairy cows, £2O, 20-cnonth steers £5 12s 6d.
