In the House of Lords, Lord Milner, moving the second reading of the Austrian and Bulgarian Treaties, emphasised the fact that the bofindary of the Tyrol brought a considerable number of Germans into Italy. This was the result of Italy's insistence of a boundary necessary to her strategic safety. The Allies were debarred from resisting this claim, owing to the treaty concluded whea Italy entered the war. The Treaties were not faultless, but they were the best possible in view of the conflicting interests of the Powers involved.—lmperial Service. SCHEME TO HELP TfIADE. BRITISH ASSOCIATION FORMED. Received April 23, 1.30 a.m. London, April 22, Loudon bankers, traders, und international financiers have formed a powerful Anglo-Danubian association for the purpose of rehabilitating industries in former Austro-Hungorian territories. The association supplies raw materials, which the manufacturers re-export, the goods remaining the property of the senders until sold in other markets. The manufacturers will receive a share of what they produce in payment for their services.—Times Service. I
