'J'HE Yew Plymouth Borough Council "hereby jfives public notice I hat ii proposes to borrow the sum of .-£72.01 •" by v.-av of Special Loan under "The Local Bodies Loans Act, 1913.!' The particular purposes for which the loan is required are:—

(a) To provide additions and extensions to the Council's Electric Lighting and Power Works either within or without the Borough. (b) To supply electricity. (c) To acquire or provide in connection with such additions and extensions, lands, casements, and appurtenances, and buildings, tunnels, weirs, reservoirs, engines, machinery, and other things. (d) To acquire or provide in connection with the Council's Electric Lighting and Power Works and such additions and extensions, lands and buildings for the purpose of "workers' dwellings" within the meaning of section 325 of "The Municipal Corporations Act, lflOS," r.nd generally to exercise the powers conferred by the said section 325. (e) To pay compensation to any person or persons injuriously affected. (f) Any other purposes incidental or in relation to any of the above mentioned purposes. The sum proposed to lio borrowed for all such purposes is £72,000 at a rate of interest'no 1 , exceeding £5 10s per centum per annum, with a sinking of one and one-half per centum additional. The proposed security for the said loan of £72,000, and the interest and sinking fund thereon, is an annually recurring special rate of one penny and one-seventh of a penny (1 l/7th d) in the pound on the rateable value of all rateable property in the said Borough, and it is proposed to repay the said loan on the Ist day of April, 1033. It is proposed to pay out of the said loan th'c cost of raising the said loan and the interest and sinking fund thereon for the first year.
