. PLANTED AND WELL KEPT. By Telegraph.—Press A.'m—Copyright. Beeeived April IS, S.o p.m. London, April lfi. ■Sir Thomas Mackenzie visited the cemeteries in France and Belgium. Already eight hundred cemeteries have been placed under the control of the Imperial War Graves CommissionSir Thos. Mackenzie states that such cemeteries as are completed are now beautiful, well-kept, and plnnted with flowers. Notwithstanding the magnitude of the work and difficulties involved favorable progress has been made. Some cemeteries where permanent work has not commenced are in more or less disorder, mainly due to the fact that they came under shell fire after they were laid out.—Aus.-N Z. Cable Assn.
