NEW PLYMOUTH CLUB. VMS no match on the Now Plyi/iiouth Club's links on Saturday, but a. large number of players took advantage of the fine day to play. To-morrow afternoon the ladies will play, a flag match. HAWERA CLUB. The annuo! meeting of the Hiuvern. Club was held on Friday evening. , The annual' report stated the course was in splendid order, except at two holes where the sand grass had grown rapidly in the fairways. More playing members arc wanted, ns quite a number of last year's players Slave left.' The membership last season was f>B. Mention is made that the annual match with Now Plymouth will tako place at New Plymouth on June 3. The election of officers resulted as follows : Patron, Mr. W P. I'owdrcll, M.P., presldent, Mr. (J. H. Ity:m; vice-president, Mr. ,T. A. Duffill; captain. Mr. J. T. Bailey; ho:i setx rotary, Mr. N. H. C. Caplen; committee, Messrs. Elliott, Sutton, Walker, Fletcher and Cox; green committee, tlio captain; auditor, Mr. Suisted; match commytee, Messrs. Bayley, Sutton, and Ryan; handicapper, 3lr. Sut-1 ton. ] The opening day was flxed for Wednesday. :
