FINAL OF PAIRS TOURNAMENT. The final game in the Easter pairs tournament. was played on the Fitzroy green yesterday afternoon, when Wooller and Rolston (New Plymouth) met Brooker and McNeill (Fitzroy). The green was in excellent order, and weather conditions ideal. Rolston secured two at the first head, and McNeill replied with 4, increasing his advantage to 7 —3 on the flfifth head. Then Rolston went ahead, so that by the tenth head he was 14—7, but McNeill equalised by obtaining 5 and 3, At the 14th head, the scores were again equal. Rcvston secured ft single, and McNeill got 3, thus leading by two points at the 16th head. Then came disaster for Rolston, as in ihe two following heads McNeill scored 5 and 3, which practically gave him the game, the scores on the 18th head being McNeill 27, Rolston 17. , Rolston got a single, and on the last head three, the final score being McNeill 28, Ro ston 22. The play was of high merit, each of the competitors doing his best, both leads playing well. The winners well deserved their success.

FINAL PAIRS AT STRATFORD. The final's of the Easter pairs tournament was playrd off at the Stratfcrd bowling green yesterday, when J. S. Lyons and W. Robinson heat J. 8. McDonald and G. T. Walters, 25—1 G. In the consolation game, eight pairs competed, the final being won by Gaffaney and Sharp.

Three rinks from the Opunake Club visited the Paten. Club on Wednesday, the weather was perfect the outing being much -enjoyed by the visitors, who won by the narrow margin of one point.
