ADDINGTON STOCK MARKET. Christchurch, April H. At Addlngton market there was a beary jaidlng of store and fat sheep, and an average one of lambs and fat cattle. Store Sheep.—Prices showed a further decline on the lower prices ruling last week. Forward lambs made 19s 3d to 22s Id, ordinary 14s Pd to 19s, cUlls 10s Cd to 13s Gd. Ewe lambs made to 22s Gd. Good 2-tooth ewes made 33s 6d, ordinary 2-tooth 229 6d to 33s Gd, 2, 4, 6 and 8-tootsi ewea 22s 6d to 27s 6tl, low-conditioned 2, 4, 0 and 8-tooth ewes ISs Cd to 21s Gd, 4 and 5-year ewes 18s 9d to 2Cs 2d, falllngimouthed ewes 16s to 20s Gd, scund-raouthed ewes 20s 6d to 28s 3d. Fat Lambs.—Freezing buyers were operating more freely than at recent sales. Extra prime made to 35s 3d, prime 27s to 335, medium 24s 9d to 2Gs 9d, inferior and unfinished 20s Gd to 24s 3d. Fat Cattle.—The market showed a drop of quite £2 a head. Extra prime steers made to £27 15s, prime £lB to £23 10s, medium £l4 7s 6d to £l7 10s, lighter £l2 to £l3 10s, Extra prime heifers made to £24 7s Gd, prime heifers £l2 12s Gd to £l9, ordinary £7 to £l2 2s Gd, Prime cows imade £l2 to £lO I7r Gd, ordinary £7 7s €d to fill 12s Bd. Fat Sheep.—Freezing buyers showed* more netfiviiy than usual. Extra prime wethers made 45s 6d to 55s Gd, prime 37s to 44s 3d, medium 31s 9d to 3Gs 3d, lighter 25s 9d to 30s Gd. Extra prime ewes made 44s to 47s Gd, prime 35s Gd to 435, medium 31s to 34s Od, lighter 23s to 20s 9d. Dairy Catl^e.—Springing heifers made £lO 10« to £2O 10s, second and third calvers £l2 to £l6. and third and fourth calvers £8 10s to £l6. Tealers.—Runners made to £9s sd, good vealors £G 12s 6d, medium £3 Gs to £3 15s, small calves 12s Gd to 455. The recent rates ruled for both fat and store pigs. The average price for bacon was per lb, and for pork Js O%<J.
BURNSIBE. Dunedln, April 14. There were 'targe yardings in all departments of fat stock at Bumside to-day. Fat Cattle.—Prime bullocks made £2O to £25 12s 6d, medium £l6 10s to £l9, light and unfinished £l4 upwards. Prime heifers made £ls to £l7 10s. medium £l2 103 to. £l4, light and aged £3 10s upwards. Store Cattle—Prices were on a par with those ruling a fortnight ago. Sheep.—A large yarding, mostly of secondary and inferior quality. Secondary quality were slilghtly weaker, while inferior wore easier by 2s to 3s a liend on last week's rates. Extra prime heavy-weight wethers made 55a 3d to 58s, prime 44s to 525, medium 36s to 31s. light and unfinished from 30a upwards. Extra prime heavy-weight ewes made 50s to 545, prime 39s to 455, medium 32s to 37a Cil, light and aged from 24s upwards. Lirate.—Tho competition was somewhat restrictive. only one freezing buyer being in the moTliet, with tho result that there was a reduction in values of Is 6d a head be'nw last week's rates.
