DRAMATIC ENTERTAINMENT.
ANOTHER SUCCESSFUL PRO-i GRAMME. The audience which filled the Workers' Social Hall to overflowing last night for the second, performance of the two plays which were presented on Wedneaday night in aid of funds for a new hostel for the Girls' Friendly Society ili .New Plymouth, was an unmistakable compliment to the aetora for their work "n the first presentation. The door* were opened early, and in a very itt# minutes all the available seats were soM and standing room" only was the no« tiee which faced those who went to the ticket box, and many cheerfully paid the pnee even for that privilege. The plays went with much more free* (lorn, and the confidence inspired by the success of the opening, produced one ot two little touches which greatly height, ened the effectiveness of the parts. "The iJest Cure" proved, again a highly en-' tei taming play, and the parts ' wer« ngnin "' cll , sustained. Miss Bedford was paid the compliment of a bouquet, m the shape of a box of chocolates.
