TRAMWAYS DISPUTE.

A DOMINION MATTER. ' By Telegraph.—Press Association. Invercargill, Last Night. When the Conciliation Council met this morning, Mr. AV. H. Hagger (Commissioner) presiding, to consider , the dispute between the Tramwaymcn's Union and the Borough Council, the Union's advocate asked for an adjournment until the Wellington dispute was settled. The Federation had decided to take up the case of the whole of the tramwaymen in New Zealand. The Commissioner said he understood the Christchurch agreement was to be accepted as a basis. The Union's advocate and the Christchurch Union had let the Federation down.

After discussion, i.he proceedings were adjourned till May 27.
