The Washington correspondent of the New York Times reports ':lmt the Senate Foreign Relations Committee has begun the consideration of the joint peace resolution. The committee is not expected to take any action on the resolution this week. It is understood Senator Knox will offer an amendment which will declare that the United States will view with grave concern any assault on the peace of Europe, and will take whatever action may be deemed necessary. Democratic members of the Committee have said they will oppose the amend-ment.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn
