CIVIL WAR FEARED. GAIN TO THE ALLIES. By Telegraph.—Pre99 Assn.—Copyright. Received April 13, £>;10 p.m. London, April 12. Constantinople reports that the new Sheilvli Ul Islam has issued a fetiva indicting the Nationalists for raising rebel levies and oppressing, robbing, and murdering the Sultan's subjects, thereby causing Constantinople to be cut off from the Ottoman Empire. The fetiva calls upon all Moslems to rally to the Sultan's standard, and places the Nationalists under an interdict of faith. Another fetiva banning Bolshevism is expected to be issued in a. few days. Danad Ferid Pasha, the Grand Vizier, has issued a communique bluntly assorting that the Turkish peoples worst enemies are those who, under the mask of Nationalism, would sacrifice the country to their personal ambition. , The Daily Telegraph correspondent states these pronouncements, While causing civil war in Turkey, will give to the Eintente a new Ally.—Aus.-N.Z. TROUBLE IN ARMENIA. HELP GP THE ALLIES WANTED. Received April 14, 12.45 a.m. London, April 13. The Armenian delegation appeals for the dispatch of inter-Allied forces to Cilieia, and urges that the refugees be sent to Cyprus. The destruction of further villages is announced, and Adana and Mersina are threatened. The French officials are repatriating families.
