According to a letter received, the Old Country at the present time Is not a very pleasant place In which to reside. The cose of living is enormous. There are complaints of high cost of living in New Zealand, but people out hero can have no conception of the prices ruling In England. It is an ugly fact that profiteering Is rampant, the cost of manufactured goods being out of all proportion lo the prices paid for raw materials Shop keepers must lio having a wonderful time.
