REPATRIATION.
NEW PLYMOUTH COMMITTEE. , Tho New Plymouth Repatriation Board met last evening. Present: .\losniv, 11. \\ r estou (chairman), T. I'urloug, W. ,J. Chancy, C. Carter, 1!. J. Clarktr, F. W. Okcy, J£. Whittle, T. C. List, ,1. R. Rowlands, H. 11. Qattley, i>\ Hartnell and the secretary (Mr. A. S. Allen). The unemployment register showed three were six requiring work, mostly a light nature. One man had been found employment. The following loans were recommended:—£3oo to two men for establishing of a plumbing business, £250 for a blacksmith's business, and £225 for the purchase of dairy stock. An application for the purchase of a fishing business was not entertained. Five applications for furniture loans, ranging in amounts from £25 to £75, were approved. An application for the payment of tuition fees wis refused on the ground that, the assistance already being giveti by the Committee was sufficient to cover all tuition fees.
