The Executive Committee of the League of Nations :.iet in Paris and adopted four reports. The first, presented by the Belgian Ambassador, related to the protection of the minorities in Turkey. The Committee decided to express to the Supreme Council its approval of the desiderate recommended, and that it was disposed to enter into .-, compact with the Supreme Council regarding the measures to be taken to guarantee the execution of the clauses designed for the protection of these minorities. iSignor Longare submitted a report on the subject of the repatriation of prisoners still in Siberia, the number of whom is estimated at. between 120,000 and 200,000. The Committee adopted a resolution under which Dr. Nansen, the explorer, was entrusted with the task of investigating the manner in which the necessary credits may be secured. Meanwhile, medical stores are beii.fi dispatched to combat the mortality among the prisoners, A report of the Spanish Ambassador relative to elections in the foe State of Danzig for the formation of a, Constitu- , lional Assembly was frustrated. It was j decided tc advise the High Commissioner that the election may be held, but this, however, is not to be regarded as furnishing n precedent for the conduct of future eletcions. | A report of Lord Robert Cecil on the protection and maintenance of the future State of Armenia showed that as the League of Nations had not the necessary financial and military resources for the purpose, the Supreme Council should decide how temporary financial arrangements may be secured. The Committee expresses the opinion that it would not be difficult, when this was decided, to find a Power willing to accept a mandate.—lmperial Service.
