AUCKLAND DROWNING ACCIDENT. By Telejraph.—Press Association. Auckland, Last Night. Edward Gruhbins. aged about sixty, a sawmill hand, of Mananui, was drowned in the harbor last night. / The deceased was walking on the wharf, when he fell over the Ride. The body was recovered a quarter of an hour later. BRIDAL COUPLE UPSET. Gisborne, April 10. A motor car travelling to Napier with a bridal couple went over a bank at Wharerata Hill in a fog at night. The bridegroom sustained a dislocated hip and was conveyed to Wairoa hospital. The driver fractured a rib. The ear rolled over several times and fell 50 feet. GIRL SERIOUSLY INJURED. Hamilton, Last Night. As Miss R. Baker, 18 years old, was cycling last night, she collided with a motor car. fllie was thrown heavily to the ground and run over by the car. She was taken to hospital, where it was found she had sustained a severe fracture to the base of the skull, and there is little hope of her recovery.
