The New Zealand Trade Review, reporting on the import market, says:— ''Conditions generally show very little alteration since our last report. Supplies of almost all classes of goods are still very ligln, and as each small shipment arrive? it passes out of first hands almost immediately, This leaves wholesale stocks at a very low level, and there is little chance of building up any stocks under these conditions. The general trend of values is still upward; there are several sharp advances this month, and it is very difficult to estimate when the limit will be reached. It is a matter of considerable astonishment what high prices will be paid for goods, and it seems that a breaking point must be reached very soon.
