At the conference of the New Z«»* land Branch of the Manchester Unity of Oddfellows a motion to provide 8 table for increased Ifuneral bonofltj tat conjunction with the sick benefits of the society was lost, the consensus of oplnion being that ample provision exists under the increased funeral benefit fund. The election of officers resulted As follows: Grand Master, Bro. William Thomas (Auckland); deputy -3.M. Bro. W. E. Gahagan (Christehurch); corresponding secretary, Bro. J. Kershaw (Wellington) j society treasurer, Bro, G. E. Godlier (Wellington). For directors thirteen candidates went to the ballot for six seats, and the result was: Bro. A. ft. Shrimpton (Nelson), Bro. H. Bull (Napier), Bro. T. Aitkon (Auckland), Bro. F. Pritchard (Ashburton), Bro- W. Clark (Wellington), Bro. J. Merrimaa (Christehurch); Parliamentary agent, Bio. J. Kerhow (Christehurch); ssjntty auditors, Bros. A. Guise, T. S. PoWelf and W. G. French (all of Wellington),
