[Mary Pickford, who recently obtained a divorce, was afterwards married to Douglas Fairbanks, and an appeal was made to the State of Nevada to investigate the legality of the marriage on the grounds of insufficient residence. A cable message from New York stated the At-torney-General's investigation of the divorce was apparently caused by charges by the War Association, which passed a 1 resolution demanding the investigation k of all short term divorces.
