Advices have been received in Sydnev that the Federal Government's linei- Carawa, which grounded on the Galapagos Islands, is a total loss. The crew, it is supposed, landed. The vessel carried a cargo of oil from Port Arthur (Texas), valued at £2oo,ooo.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
