THE RUSSIANS AGGRESSIVE. j JAPAN'S OCCUPATION FOLLOWS. By Telesrnph.—Press Assn.—Copytijht. Received April 7, 11.30 p.m. New York, April 7. The Washington correspondent of the New York Times says the Japanese Military Attache, M. Inouye, states the sudden aggressive action of the Russian Army on April 4th forced Russo-Japan-ese battles at Vlndivostock, Nikolaievsk, and Chabarovsk, with the attendant occupation of Vladivostock. The Japanese are now negotiating with the Russians with a view to arriving at a future harmonious policy. Japan's only motive is the maintenance of peace and order. The correspondent adds that the United States have not made any representations regarding Japan's occupation of Vladivostock, and it is not expected any will be made.—Aus.-N.Z. Cable Assn.
