BIG SCHEME IN AUSTRALIA. By Telesraph.—Press Assn.— "opyrlght. Received April 7, 11.55 p.m. Sydney, April 7An inter-State Congress of consumers and co-operative societies is sitting with the object of organising and developing the co-operative system throughout the Commonwealth with a view of cutting out excessive unregulated competition and waste in production and distribution, and securing the highest standard of efficiency by co-operative purchase and disposal. They will thus secure profit! sharing between master and workman, and cut out any attempt to exploit the public. The Conference decided to form a co-operative union embracing the whole Commonwealth and proceed with propaganda work.— Cable Assn.
