A nasty accident occurred to Mr. P. R. Pepperell, of the Eltham Joinery, last week (reports the Argus). He was engaged with Mr. Vosseler shifting a heavy flywheel at the joinery factory, when it overbalanced and struck Mr. Pepperell's right leg, breaking it at the ankle. His may friends will be pleased to learn that Mr. Pepperell's injured limb 19 mending rapidly. Says the Wanganui Herald: As show* ing the difficulties experienced in seeming supplies of paper, we may mention the fact that during the present week three newspapers have appealed to n» to assist them in tiding over their shortage.
