ENTERTAINMENTS.

I EVERYBODY'S. ! MADGE EVAN'S IN "THE LOVE*jS t ET." ? Witli not very much in the way of a , 'ilot clever little Madge Evans provides much amusing entertainment, and at times makes you swallow hard as she trips through the story of "The Love Net," a new World film study written I for the gifted child actress, and showing to-night an<l to-morrow at Everybody's. As Patty Barnes she is the darling of the juvenile pirate band among the big 1 rocks on the beach, and coveted by a rich lady of fashion who wants to take her from her poor "Grandper" and make a fine lady of her. Patty leads the lady and her governess a fearful dance, pnd Anally escapes under conditions that look perilously like tempting providence. She hides in the forehatch of "Grandper's" old fishing boat, and, unknown to her "Grandper," has decided to put out to sea, scuttle the ancient craft, and end his troubles that way. Patty escapes from the forehatch and the two aro rescued as the scuttled eraft is awash. There are sorae fine supports, including the ninth episode of "the Lightning Haider." THE PEOPLE'S. WILLIAM S. HART IN "BREED OF MEN." William S. (Bill) Hart has never assumed a character that fits him so well as that of "Careless Carmody" in "Breed of Men," shown for the first time last night at The People's. The story is typical of the American West with its open ranges and hills, its gun-fighting cowboys* ganVblcrs, land sharks, and other types of frontier life. The whole picture is full of action and that condition of life when a man's quickness on "the draw" was his only life insurance. Carless Carmody is a wild character in a wild country, but he is a man, every inch of him, and wins the warm regard of the audience long before he surrenders to the winsome charms of a particularly fascinating young lady. "Breed of Men" is screening finally for the last time to-night. To-mqrrow Viola Dana will star in a "Metro" feature "False Evidence." An out-door story set amidst, the beauties of the great redwoods ol California.
